ya know, i've been thinking about these two eps 415,16 i've got an idea, it is a vague one and even i think it would be a stretch for the mangaka to write this one. i think somebody from the ship accident in the past who supposedly disappeared actually survived.

my guess is... the driver's son... the former driver who was on the ship with his son. the present driver is also his son.

the two brothers are twins and the one who supposedly disappeared has been living with his brother. the two have been secretly switching places this whole time plotting their revenge.

my idea for the back-story is: the driver (elder/daddy) was the one piloting the ship, the lady of the mansion said this in ep415. ok. who would be the person most likely to respond the EARLIEST to an emergency crashing into rocks? the ship's pilot. maybe he wasn't all that good at driving ships and bla bla bla. the big rich dude and his wife and bla bla bla made their car driver pilot the ship bla bla bla. the elder driver panics after crashing the ship and grabs his son and jumps off said ship with a life raft and subsequently dies somehow leaving one son on the raft and one son ashore (who never got on the ship in the 1st place). now ok. the story about one brother having food poisoning is true. THAT was the son/brother who stayed ashore! he was sick, you don't get on a ship on the ocean puking and shitting yourself.

the younger driver supposedly has 'germphobia' from that food poisoning (and death of his daddy and brother) and constantly wipes stuff and wears cloth gloves. the daughter/chef is afraid of heights and couldn't enter/escape the master's room on a rope. her mom the maid is afraid of pointy stuff and the fence below the balconies has big iron spikes atop it. the butler's OCD makes him straighten and align everything. he would have put the master of the house's bed, corpse, the whole room into a much more orderly fashion instead of being sprawled out and messy. the pill bottle would have been straightened... and so forth... perhaps the panic of killing the master COULD have overridden the butler's OCD... but i like my hypothesis about the twin drivers better! :> yeah, it's my pet idea i'm gonna nurture it. ;)

the cops only fingerprinted ONE brother! the one they KNOW exists! identical twins DO NOT HAVE THE EXACT SAME FINGERPRINTS! but they are similar, there's patterns in the prints that when compared show the two people could easily be confused by a layperson checking the prints. PERHAPS! the fingerprint scanner security can be fooled by twins' prints. we don't know how good that scanner is. also, the 'dead' twin could have made latex fingerprint 'thimbles' for his index finger, using his 'live' twin's fingerprint. that latex 'thimble' could be easily hidden under those white cloth gloves. the heart medicine in ep416 has fresh fingerprints on the bottle. nobody who's gone through fingerprint elimination tests in the house so far has the same prints as the ones on the bottle! why the dead brother took his gloves off?

i THINK the 'ghost' the master of the house saw was the 'dead' brother disguised as their father. perhaps since the twins look alot like their daddy and they're all grown up now; all they would have to do is wear some of daddy's old clothes. maybe add in a grey wig and a specific hat. some sort of easily doffed and hidden disguise. but, that 3rd floor does have a lot of rooms. so. shrug! that's why the master of the house was so scared when the 'dead' brother showed up in his bedroom. he was disguised as his father!

i also have no idea where the 'dead' brother is hiding. probably in their room. each of the servants has their own private room.

as to why the first guy was killed or which of the twin brothers did it? shrug! i have no clue! it has something to do with the ship accident years ago. that's all i can think of.

those cloth gloves are why i suspect the two brothers. the 'dead' one wears the gloves just like his 'live' brother. whether the germphobia is real or not doesn't matter. wearing cloth gloves and wiping stuff would screw up anybody finding out there's a 'dead' twin living in the house all these years! the brand spanking new fingerprint scanners would be the only sticking point the twins would have moving around the house. there are no security cameras to record them being in two places at the same time. so, the latex fake index fingerprint 'thimbles' between the twins are necessary. or the fingerprint scanners suck and can be fooled by twins having similar prints. that would make the copy of the master's print the only one needed.

why copy the master's print? the 'dead' brother could need a copy of the master of the house's fingerprint on a special latex 'thimble' and get into the supposedly utterly secure 3rd floor. remember, the master of the house has the ONLY print registered on that one specific entry point! the rope Conan climbs up and onto the balcony was the 'dead' brother's escape route! he entered through the supposedly secure 3rd floor scanner using his 'thimble' copy of the master's print! Conan said the rope wasn't wiggling before he shimmied up it. :>

since the brothers are identical twins, have the same hairstyle, have the same clothes, keep the same body shape, and wear the same glasses the 'dead' twin could have 'hopped into the crowd' on the 3rd floor after the master's death easily! somehow the 'dead' twin hid his daddy disguise on the 3rd floor. maybe it is hanging in a closet?

Conan climbing up the rope would have 'blocked' the 'dead' twin's escape route! but the giant gagglefuck of people coming in when Conan opened the secure 3rd floor entry point gave the 'dead' twin a herd of sheep to hide himself in! BUT! it has also TRAPPED the 'dead' twin BEHIND that 3rd floor secure entry point! the ROPE on the balcony will be the only way the 'live' twin can sneak in and the 'dead' twin to sneak out! because the secure door is now being guarded by COPS!

damn. this one's fun! :> i paused the video and thought all this up RIGHT when Inspector Yokomizo, Sango's phone went off and we found out the rope and the pill bottle had fresh unknown fingerprints on them. ;) i didn't even need the 'next time on Conan' or the 'next Conan's hint!' :D

if Shinichi figures it out in time and can keep the 'dead' twin from switching with his 'live' brother (who got fingerprinted earlier) our pint-sized Sherlock could CATCH THE DEAD BROTHER! somehow, he has to have the 'dead' twin fingerprinted! those prints would match the ones on the pill bottle!

also, Shin is screwing up royally on this one. he's ordering everybody around like he's Shin not Conan. i guess he's pissed off once again that TWO people have died right in front of him. this is now case THREE (i think) that this has happened.

ok, i remember now... took me a few minutes (damn that list of characters is long!) to find the twin cops on MyAnimeList's entry for Conan... ok... Yokomizo brothers... aha Sango (strange, that's a girl's name... aha... the female Demon Slayer from Inuyasha is named Sango ;) the one with the giant boomerang!) is our friend here with the giant hairdoo and his lil brother Juugo is the one who's always got his hair buzzed down tight to his skull.

i think i remember when we first met Juugo, he was the inspector for the 'cursed five story temple'. the one where the rich as hell land developer was 'impossibly hung by the neck' from a rope off the roofline of the fifth story of the temple.

how'd Juugo describe his older brother that first time? something like... 'you'll find i'm a great deal less impressed with you Mouri-san than my brother is. he is very excitable and credulous!'

meaning Juugo thinks his older brother believes in things way too easily. ;) hehehheh ;) like ghosts! so yeah, with a description like that i think a BZZZZZ! going off in your breast pocket suddenly in that situation, ghost stories and murders and accidents and such, is actually quite... hahaha! believable! ;) heh heh! ;)

7:15, does that mean they took Conan's too? What if they show up in the system as Shinichi's? Wait, but did they already have finger print data bases online in the 90's or were they still doing it by hand? 8:05, it's gotta be either the butler or the chauffer, the butler used one of the finger print scanners earlier didn't he? Also the chauffer has been wiping his prints and wearing gloves often. 8:32, their wearing shoes indoors? Isn't that uncommon for Japan? 15:09, just check the bottom of everyone's shoes.

17:16, It's a 'ghost' isn't it? I bet the chauffer guy's younger brother is either alive or he dressed up as him. And the real reason he's always wiping things off and wearing gloves is so that 2 set of finger print don't show up for one person 22:30, ...2 people died Conan, and the wife is probably next.
